【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversstructuralsteelplates,shapes,bars,andrivetsintendedprimarilyforuseinshipconstruction.1.2Materialunderthisspecificationisavailableinthefollowingcategories:1.2.1OrdinaryStrength8212;GradesA,B,D,andEwithaspecifiedminimumyieldpointof34ksi[235MPa],and1.2.2HigherStrength8212;GradesAH,DH,EH,andFHwithaspecifiedminimumyieldpointof46ksi[315MPa],51ksi[350MPa],or57ksi[390MPa].1.3ShapesandbarsarenormallyavailableasGradesA,AH32,andAH36.Othergradesmaybefurnishedbyagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthemanufacturer.1.4Themaximumthicknessofproductsfurnishedunderthisspecificationis4in.[100mm]forplatesand2in.[50mm]forshapesandbars.1.5Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthataweldingproceduresuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.6Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisspecification.
