【摘要】:TheserequirementscoverApplianceWiringMaterial(AWM)intheformofsingleinsulatedconductors,multi-conductorcables,opticalfibers,individualinsulatedconductors,andfiberopticmembersforuseascomponentsinmulti-conductorcables.TheappliancewiringmaterialcoveredbytherequirementsofthisStandardaresolelyforuseasfactory-installedwiringeitherwithintheoverallenclosureofappliancesandotherequipment(internalwiring)orasexternalinterconnectingcableforappliances(externalwiring),orforfurtherprocessingascomponentsinmulti-conductorcables.Theserequirementsdonotcoveranywire,cable,orcordtypesthatarepresentlycoveredintheNationalElectricalCode(NEC),NFPA70,andarenotintendedforinstallationinbuildingsorstructuresinaccordancewiththeNECexceptwithinthescopeoftheinstallationinstructionsoftheend-productforwhichtheiruseisintended.Theserequirementscoverappliancewiringmaterialwithoperatingtemperaturesfromaminimum60鳦(140鳩)drytemperatureratingandvoltageratingsfromaminimum30-voltrating.Conductorsizerangesfrom50AWGto2000kcmil.Appliancewiringmaterial(AWM)composedentirelyofopticalfibermembersorelectricalconductorsincombinationwithopticalfibermembersarealsocoveredbytheserequirements.Theserequirementsdonotcovertheopticalperformanceofanyoptical-fibermemberorgroupofsuchmembers.Inadditiontotheseconstructions,thisStandardestablishesguidelinesfortheevaluationofspecialconstructionsthat,duetotheirspecificendproductuse,arenotrequiredtomeetalloftherequirementsforgeneralconstructionAWM.ThefinalacceptanceofAWMisdependentuponitsuseincompleteequipmentthatconformswiththestandardsapplicabletosuchequipment.
