【摘要】:ThispartofISO13473describesatestmethodtodeterminetheaveragedepthofpavementsurfacemacrotexture(seeclause3,Definitions)bymeasuringtheprofilecurveofasurfaceandcalculatingthetexturedepthfromthisprofile.Thetechniqueisdesignedtoprovideanaveragedepthvalueofonlythepavementmacrotextureandisconsideredinsensitivetopavementmicrotextureandunevennesscharacteristics.TheobjectiveofthispartofISO13473istomakeavailableaninternationallyacceptedprocedurefordeterminationofpavementsurfacetexturedepthwhichisanalternativetothetraditionallyusedvolumetricpatchtechnique(generallyusingsandorglassspheres),givingcomparabletexturevalues.ThisISO13473serieshasbeenpreparedasaresultofaneedidentifiedwhenspecifyingatestsurfaceforvehiclenoisemeasurement(ISO10844).MacrotexturedepthmeasurementsaccordingtothisInternationalStandardarenotgenerallyadequateforspecifyingtestconditionsofvehicleortrafficnoisemeasurements,buthavelimitedapplicationsasasupplementinconjunctionwithotherwaysofspecifyingasurfacing.ThistestmethodissuitablefordeterminingtheMeanProfileDepthofapavementsurface.ThisMeanProfileDepthcanbetransformedtoaquantitywhichestimatesthemacrotexturedepthaccordingtothevolumetricpatchmethod.Itisapplicabletofieldtestsaswellaslaboratorytestsonpavementsamples.Whenusedinconjunctionwithotherphysicaltests,themacrotexturedepthvaluesderivedfromthistestmethodareapplicabletoestimationofpavementskidresistancecharacteristics(seee.g.reference[1]),estimationofnoisechacteristics(seee.g.ISO10844),andassessmentofthesuitabilityofpavingmaterialsorpavementfinishingtechniques.Themethod,togetherwithothermeasurements(whereapplicable)suchasporosityormicrotexturecanbeusedtoassessthequalityofpavements.Pavementaggregateparticleshape,size,anddistributionaresurfacetexturefeaturesnotaddressedinthisprocedure.Themethodisnotmeanttoprovideacompleteassessmentofpavementsurfacetexturecharacteristics.Inparticular,careshouldbeexercisedininterpretingtheresultifthemethodisappliedtoporoussurfacesortogroovedsurfaces(seeannexB).NOTE1-OtherInternationalStandardsdealingwithsurfaceprofilingmethodsincludeforexampleISO468,ISO1878,ISO1879,ISO1880,ISO3274,ISO4287andISO4288(seeannexF).Althoughitisnotclearlystatedinthese,theyaremainlyusedformeasuringsurfacefinish(microtexture)ofmetalsurfacesanddonotapplytopavements.ThispartofISO13473isadaptedforpavementtexturemeasurementandisnotintendedforotherapplications.
