【摘要】:Thispracticeisusefulindeterminingtheviscosity-temperaturerelationshipsforglassesandcorrespondingusefulworkingranges.SeeTerminologyC162.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationoftheviscosityofglassabovethesofteningpointthroughtheuseofaplatinumalloyspindleimmersedinacrucibleofmoltenglass.Spindletorque,developedbydifferentialangularvelocitybetweencrucibleandspindle,ismeasuredandusedtocalculateviscosity.Generally,dataaretakenasafunctionoftemperaturetodescribetheviscositycurvefortheglass,usuallyintherangefrom1to106Pa183;s.1.2Twoprocedureswithcomparableprecisionandaccuracyaredescribedanddifferinthemannerfordevelopingspindletorque.ProcedureAemploysastationarycrucibleandarotatedspindle.ProcedureBusesarotatingcrucibleincombinationwithafixedspindle.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
